Hanging silently but for the sporadic rush of flame heating up the air in the balloon, I didn’t have any epiphanies as I surveyed the awesome Cappadocia landscape from the expansive Turkish sky. Yes, I guess being so high up is a reminder that we’re all small in the grand scheme of things. But I don’t need a hot air balloon to make me remember that. Instead, floating across the sky showed me just how much of this incredible area I wouldn’t be able to see on this particular trip!
Philosophical, I am not.
How was your experience ballooning in Cappadocia? Anywhere else in the world you’d recommend that warrants a balloon ride?
Awesome photos! Looks like an amazing experience, which I’ve recently decided I must do 🙂 I went through Arizona a few days ago, and it was amazing to see the balloons over the desert at sunrise. I have no idea how much a ride would be… Hmmm.
They are expensive but well worth it if you pick the right landscape. Cappadocia I definitely recommend!
It looks so serene! I’ve love to try a hot air balloon ride myself sometime. Cappadocia seem like the perfect place for it, great views!
exactly! while i wasn’t impressed with the cost (though i think the cost is that high all over the world), i figured this is the perfect landscape for a hot air balloon ride!
great post and pics! I would love to do a hot air balloon ride over the Grand Canyon (or a helicopter ride). I’d make sure to take a JUST IN CASE parachute though…
ha! i’m not sure one gets high enough in a balloon to have enough time to deploy a parachute… but the grand canyon would be pretty awesome to see from the sky!
